Wash by hand or machine if there are no specific instructions.  Opt for a gentle cycle and a mild detergent if using a washing machine.  If you are washing by hand, fill a tub or sink with warm water and add a mild detergent. Gently soak the lycra garment in water and gently rub it to remove dirt. Rinse with clean, cold water till the detergent is completely removed. Dry the garment with a low-temperature dryer or lay the fabric on a dry, flat surface away from direct heat sources. Avoid ironing Lycra fabric as the heat may damage the elastic fibres.
